Okay okay….. geez,

Canada was fantastic, we had the coldest temps for 30 years while we were there so I guess you could say the snow was bloody fantastic.  So light dry and squeaky under foot.  Apex which is sometimes referred to as scrAPEX was just beautiful.  In the 2 times we have been there we have had nothing but powder days galore.  At one stage it was so deep I had trouble skiing so back inside to grab the board.  We had temps around –17C average then dropping to –25 or –30 with a wind chill at the top. As unusual this resort was pretty much empty even with a couple of comps running there during the week and a few large corporate groups coming through.

Big White was also awesome, temps were cold so every 2 hours I had to stop for some hot chocolate laced with alcohol…mmm yummy.  This resort was a little more crowded than Apex with Spring break being on but seriously nothing like home at all.  Long runs without a soul around what more could you ask for.  Did some scary stuff on the skis and saved the cruising for the board in the deep snow.  I did hurt my back here though, not sure if it was the fall over the front of my skis down a seriously nasty bump run or the tree well I went into on the board.  Who cares anyway I have a great war wound.

We had some great accom this trip and all at reasonable rates so if you’ re looking for anything specially Big White let me know.  We met a guy who owns a great apartment that he rents out at really great rates.

Had better go ciao
