Snowflex Ski Slopes
Jeff Levin:
Anyone had a go on a Snowflex slope in the UK?
What did you think? Would it work here?
Imagine boarding a half hour from home?
eviie:
so iz it like a dryslope snowboarding/skiiing ... no snow ? whats the material ?
what if u fall ? would it hurt? could u do tricks etc
i've heard of indoor snow maintained slopes/halfpipes but not snowflex .. sounds cool :)
klaski:
No Jeff not Snowflex. What is it (echo Eviie)
The only non snow surface I have skied is a dry ski run, made out of those bristle mats like you see some times at the start and end of lifts.
In Edinburgh Scotland ironically.

I assume Snowflex is like Dendix dry slope???
if so ...YUK
I used to slide on it at the old Australian Waterjump park up at Wandin (yarra valley) a back in the early 90's it is horrible stuff to ski on.
If youre going to ski on anything away from the snow then an indoor ski slope is better than nothing....
Dry slopes = Pain....funny thing is the Poms are right into them....they are everywhere....
They never really took off over here...there used to be one at Narrabeen (NSW) and one on the south caost of NSW and one in the Adelaide Hills years ago but they are all gone now....
