ive been pb twice and both times the snow, and cover were great, not soo good now though from what I hear.
one good thing about the early season when not many lifts are open, is that you dont have to look too hard to find somewhere untracked, due to the smaller crowds. three times Ive climbed up the back and put fresh tracks down olympic, gonna be a little while before i get back down there!

Did a bit of the kick steps trick myself this last trip.

Cover was a bit thin so we went exploring. As you said when all the lifts aren't working then freshies aren't to hard to find.

Great day, found a nice slope, good cover, facing the sun (most places had set up a little hard). Kicked some tracks and had some nice turns.

Don't need good snow when you have good company and a little adventure in your spirit. (some snow is neccessary though)

Well what a great couple of days. Just got back, couldn't ski today (had to pack) but friday and saturday were knee to waist deep powder.
